We had a good time at Transition Expo 2018, at Auckland Netball Centre on Tuesday 7th August.
Especially, this lady from Vaka Tautua (non-for-profit organisation supporting pacific population) interviewed us and was really interested in COGY. I was even inspired and encouraged by her words.
Transition Expo is for young people who are leaving school / who left school recently, and looking at getting into community / work. (COGY was there as a recreation provider. Yes, we organise COGY clubs! Flick us a message if you are interested.)
But COGY caught her mind when we talked about post-stroke rehabilitation. I heard, pacific population has higher risk of strokes. After discharged from hospital, many people do not know what to do. With COGY, people can keep on the rehabilitation at home. Even pedalling 1m back-forward in front of TV will stimulate your system. Do not stop, keep moving.
Since the beginning of this project, I believe, COGY will help the whole society to become more productive. I really hope, the day government recognise/appreciate/subsidise COGY, is coming closer.
