I met a girl called Amy. She made my day.

She has a neurological condition (Rett syndrome). I guess the condition is quite heavy. At first, I could not tell at all if she hears my voice or not.

Amy tried COGY. Amy sat on the seat, and I pushed COGY from behind while keep on talking to her. Does she hear me? I still don't know. To me, her expression seems almost frightened. I was not sure yet if COGY was for her.

Next, I decided to sing a song. "Row row row your boat" is my favourite during COGY activities.

I usually sing this song while pushing COGY forward/backward.

"OK, I'm gonna sing a song. row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream.."

Then guess what, Amy's face expression has melted down.

She was relaxed, listening my song and enjoying the rocking movement. Now I am sure that she hears me. She has likes and dislikes. She expresses her emotions. I was glad with all these discoveries.

Amy's peaceful smile really made my day. Every beautiful smile on COGY user's face reminds me of these words from my old time friend which was made together with donation for the sample COGY.

"I am looking forward to the smile of many people in New Zealand."

If you ever see any of those smiles when people try COGY for their first time, you will know the difference of world best smile and ordinary smile. COGY project keeps me well with these world top class smiles.
